Route: TXL - CPH // Date: October 2018 // Aircraft: Airbus A319
On my way to Washington D.C. I flew on SAS for my first time. I was not overwhelmed but it was a good experience. My routing that day was from Berlin via Copenhagen to Washington D.C.
I booked my ticket by Miles and More miles which came with 90 Euro tax. If I would have booked flights operated by Lufthansa it would have been a tax of 200 Euro. That was a big difference so I chose a routing via Denmark instead of fyling via Frankfurt to Washington D.C.
The Airbus A319 of SAS is having a 3-3 seat configuration. The space was not the best because with my size of 1,95m I had some problems but for a one hour flight it was fine for me. A positive thing here was that the seats are having a USB plug to charge smartphones or tablets.
On such a short flight you don't really have entertainment. There was only the inflight magazine and a lifestyle magazine. There is a menu for snacks and beverages. For free they only offered water or tea.
The experience was okay but nothing special. The cabin crew was friendly. My problem was the seat which was a bit uncomfortable. I would choose SAS again if the opportunity and the rigth price comes up.
